Campaign: What's your Future Brixton?
Engage were asked to help with a programme of community engagement around the development of a regeneration master plan for Brixton Town Centre.
Lambeth Council were keen to ask Brixton residents what changes they wanted to see in public transport, public spaces, leisure and education. A campaign brand was created to support various marketing materials, newsletters, a microsite, publications and even a market stall for residents to come and participate in various activities.

The Local Authority Energy Partnership’s ‘Climate Heroes’ campaign was a Defra-funded initiative to raise awareness of climate change among Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire’s 2.5 million residents. It was the first phase of an ongoing programme that aimed to change behaviour as well as raise awareness.
The campaign was planned from inception by Engage. We began by refining the objectives and setting tangible targets for the campaign. Then we tested perceptions and messages with a series of focus groups and stakeholder workshops. We also reviewed current findings to determine the energy footprint of the region and the energy-saving activities where the population preformed poorly.
Meanwhile, our planners set out a detailed roll-out programme that specified which communications channels would be employed, how and when, and the budget required for each. A central campaign message was created, supported by sub-themes specific to audience groups, and a campaign brand identity and visual language developed.
The campaign was successfully deployed in 2007.
.A brighter, more inclusive brand
Ofsted is one of the most trusted names in the public sector. When it merged with parts of three other inspectorates to form a single inspectorate for children and learners, it commissioned Engage Group to create a new brand that would enable coherent and effective communications with its diverse stakeholders.
Following an extensive research, concept development and user-testing phase, we delivered a brighter, more inclusive brand that better reflected the wide variety of people whose lives are touched by the new Ofsted. In support, we developed and implemented an extensive range of products to meet its communication requirements.
Engage also designed and produced Ofsted’s annual report.
