Creation of an online community and fundraising website
Engage helped ActionAid improve the effectiveness of its fundraising activity by creating a dedicated online community – MyActionAid.
MyActionAid is designed to make it easy for ActionAid supporters to show support and publicise all the exciting ways they help raise much needed funds. MyActionAid members can create personalised pages, collect and track donations, upload photos, add their own blogs, share photos, join forums and meet other supporters.
Within three months of its launch, the project has paid for itself and been hailed in the sector press as a prime example of how charities can harness the Web 2.0 phenomenon. Many charities pay a third-party website to host individual fundraisers’ content and to process donations. MyActionAid enables the charity to maintain its own fully branded online presence, and to retain 100% of the money raised!
Launch of a new vision and production of an award-winning membership magazine
Launching a new vision and establishing new values is a major project for any organisation. When National Museums Scotland (or the National Museums) – the body that manages and publicly presents Scotland’s collections of international importance – faced this challenge, they commissioned Engage Group to handle the process.
We took on the strategic planning of communicating the Museum’s new vision and values to its many stakeholders including staff, trustees, corporate supporters and press, amongst others. We also managed the launch event itself.
Our work with National Museums continues, and we currently help write, edit and design ‘exp!orer’, the award-winning membership magazine.
.Development of a brighter, more engaging publication
Coeliac UK is the leading charity working for people with coeliac disease and dermatitis herpetiformis.
Crossed Grain magazine is the organisation’s central communications tool, but it suffered from a dated design and poor navigation. Engage’s team of editors and designers set out to make a brighter, more engaging publication.
After an extensive research and concept development phase, Engage created a new magazine which has been very positively received by both employees and members.
