Engagement is a business issue, so everyone needs to be behind it, including leaders at all levels, right down to shop floor supervisors and Board members. They all have a part to play in engaging people, and the earlier they’re involved in the process, the better. Make sure the relationship between engaged people, engaged customers and increased profits is clear and they’ll definitely be on board.
When they ‘get’ this they generally become the biggest engagement champions! Help line managers to understand the vital part they play in achieving greater engagement.
